Volleyball Recap: Harrison Blue Tide vs. Fair Lawn Cutters
Harrison faced Fair Lawn in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Blue Tide fell just short of the Cutters by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Tide of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.
Harrison might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Fair Lawn: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-27, 23-25, 25-22.
Jonathan Petrillo paced Harrison's offense, picking up 19 kills. Petrillo got some help from Jeremy Rivera and his 42 assists. Finally, Yusuf Mohamed kept Harrison's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.
