Basketball Recap: Harris County Comes Up Short

Harris County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 64-48 bruising from the Creekside Seminoles.

Creekside found their leader in sophomore Daylen Jones, who went 9 of 22 en route to 25 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Jones has scored at least a third of Creekside's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Damien Henderson, who posted nine points and five steals.

Harris County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Creekside, their win ended a 15-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-11.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Harris County Tigers duke it out with the Starr's Mill Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Creekside, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 64-60 loss against Kendrick on the 21st.
