Augusta E took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Veritas Academy, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Gryphon 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Augusta E was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-16, 24-26, 25-18, 15-13.

Augusta E's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Veritas Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Augusta E will head out to take on Providence Athletic Club at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Veritas Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Hilton Head Prep at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
