The Cedar Ridge Raiders will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Cornerstone Christian Warriors at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Cedar Ridge is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
Last Tuesday, Cedar Ridge took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 62-34 win over Round Rock Westwood. Given Cedar Ridge's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while Round Rock Westwood is ranked 574th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Cornerstone Christian beat Chandler 44-40 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Cornerstone Christian.
Cornerstone Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kiana Henning out in front who scored 17 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Adah Snead, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Cedar Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Cornerstone Christian, their win bumped their record up to 20-7.
