 After four games on the road, Palo Verde is heading back home. They will take on the Tanque Verde Hawks at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
 Palo Verde's hitters might be in the hot seat  on Thursday considering what happened against Crismon  on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Rattlers by a score of  1-0.
 Meanwhile,  it may have taken  eight innings to finish the job, but Tanque Verde ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Monday. They skirted past Pusch Ridge Christian Academy  9-7. The  victory was nothing new for Tanque Verde as they're now sitting on three straight.
  Gabby Fukunaga spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered seven earned runs on 13 hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in ten consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate, Tanque Verde got a  massive  performance out of  Emily Ryan, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-5. Ryan continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Claire Achilles, who  went 2-for-5 with a  triple, two  RBI,  and a  run.
 Palo Verde has  not been sharp recently as the team has  lost eight of their last ten contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record  this season. As for Tanque Verde, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last nine matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record  this season.
