Softball Recap: Mize Beats Raleigh for Their Third Straight Win

Mize had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They never let the Raleigh Lions get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won six games by ten runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on AK Easterling, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Lizanna Waters also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Mize's record now sits at 9-5. As for Raleigh, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Mize will head out on the road to challenge Jefferson Davis County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Raleigh will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Pelahatchie at 6:30 p.m. on March 25th.
