Basketball Game Preview: Chopticon Braves vs. St. Charles

The Chopticon Braves are taking a road trip to challenge St. Charles at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Chopticon will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Last Friday, Chopticon beat Thomas Stone 41-33.

Cassidy Wolfe was Chopticon's leading scorer, having posted five points.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, St. Charles' good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They lost 63-42 to North Point. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat St. Charles has suffered against North Point since February 11, 2019.

St. Charles' loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-4. As for Chopticon, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season.

Chopticon was taken down by St. Charles 67-31 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Thankfully for Chopticon, McKenzie Thomas (who went 8 of 19 en route to 32 points and four steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
