Trego hadn't done well against Phillipsburg recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Golden Eagles had just enough and edged out the Panthers 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Golden Eagles: when they faced off against the Panthers last Tuesday, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Trego got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 23-25, 25-12.

Bailey Ziegler paced Trego's offense, picking up ten kills. Ziegler were helped by Cambrey Klitzke and Maura Albers, who contributed 11 assists each.

Trego's victory bumped their record up to 11-14. As for Phillipsburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season.

Coincidentally, Trego and Phillipsburg will both be playing Hoxie the next time they take the court. The Golden Eagles will host the Indians at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
