Softball Recap: Grantsville Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Box Elder

Grantsville faced Box Elder in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Grantsville took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Box Elder. The Cowboys haven't had much luck with the Bees recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Kira Hart made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Eden Ressel, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Grantsville now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Box Elder, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 9-0.

Looking ahead, Grantsville will head out on the road to take on Tooele at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Box Elder, they will challenge Northridge at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
