Softball Recap: Leonard Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Leonard faced off against Bells on Tuesday. The Tigers lost 14-1 to the Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in March.

Leonard has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-19 record this season. As for Bells, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leonard will venture away from home to take on Howe at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Bells, they are taking a road trip to square off against Gunter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 3, the Tigers 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
