The Horse Creek Academy Stallions will head out on the road to square off against the Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Horse Creek Academy is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against North on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Horse Creek Academy was outmatched by North and fell 68-24. The Stallions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-13.

Meanwhile, Ridge Spring-Monetta entered their tilt with Hunter-Kinard-Tyler on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Trojans, sneaking past 42-40.

Horse Creek Academy better focus on containing Ny'Asia Young and Ruby Powell as the pair were huge in Ridge Spring-Monetta's win. Young dropped a double-double on 11 points and 19 boards, while Powell posted eight points in addition to 13 rebounds and six blocks. Young is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least nine every time she's taken the court this season.

Ridge Spring-Monetta smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 38 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Ridge Spring-Monetta's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Horse Creek Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
