Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson County Tigers vs. Taylor County Bulldogs

Jefferson County hasn't had much luck against Taylor County recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Jefferson County Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Taylor County Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Jefferson County is headed into Saturday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They lost to Aucilla Christian at home by a 51-37 margin.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Haley Schmigel, who posted 14 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Tniah Dunlap, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 17 boards.

Meanwhile, Taylor County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were beaten by North Florida Christian 68-25.

Jefferson County's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Taylor County, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

Jefferson County came up short against Taylor County when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 47-37. Can Jefferson County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
