Football Recap: Morrill Comes Up Short

Morrill lost against Brady back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lions were dealt an 85-8 loss at the hands of the Eagles. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 56-8.

Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed six in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Zayden Childs, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Cinch Sanger had an outrageously good game for Brady as he rushed for 141 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Sanger a new career-high.

Morrill's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Brady, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Morrill will be playing at home against Hyannis on Friday. As for Brady, they will head out on the road to face off against Bertrand at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
