Baseball Recap: Pitman Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Pitman extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping them up to 3-0. They put the hurt on the Tracy Bulldogs with a sharp 16-8 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pride also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2025.

Jackson Way was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five runs, two triples, and three RBI. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nolan Walker, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

As for Tracy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games.

On Tracy's side, Leland Freitas was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. Freitas has become a key player for the Bulldogs: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 0-3 otherwise. Juan Godoy was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Looking ahead, Pitman will head out on the road to face off against Buhach Colony at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tracy, they will host Skyline at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Titans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.75 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
