Baseball Game Preview: Birdville Hawks vs. Aledo Bearcats

For the second straight game, Birdville will face off against Aledo. The Hawks will challenge the Bearcats at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Birdville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Aledo by a score of 2-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hawks have posted since April 4th.

For Aledo's part, Devin Miller was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Miller has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Aledo saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brennon Evans, who went 2-for-3 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Evans has hit this season.

Birdville's win bumped their record up to 11-20. As for Aledo, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 22-7.
