Volleyball Recap: Josie Swartz's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Providence over Charlotte Catholic

Providence lost against Charlotte Catholic back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Panthers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 15-25, 25-23, 25-21.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josie Swartz, who had 18 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Allie Johnsey, who had 30 assists and five digs.

Providence's loss dropped their record down to 2-3. As for Charlotte Catholic, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Providence wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against North Iredell on the 23rd. As for Charlotte Catholic, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against East Mecklenburg on the 25th.
