Basketball Recap: Kaiden Keith's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Arcadia Valley over West County

Arcadia Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 58-51 to the West County Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 456th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 210th).

Arcadia Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kaiden Keith, who went 5 for 12 en route to 11 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Atreyu Mccallister, who posted five points and ten rebounds.

Even though they lost, Arcadia Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.

Arcadia Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for West County, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-5.

Arcadia Valley has already played their next game, a 61-47 win against Bismarck on the 24th. As for West County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 54-49 victory against Valle Catholic on the 24th.
