Basketball Recap: Huntington Expression Prep Takes Down Ranked Patrick School

Huntington Expression Prep is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Patrick School. The Huntington Expression Prep Kings came out on top in a nail-biter against the Patrick School Celtics, sneaking past 79-77. For the Kings, this counts as revenge for the 69-45 victory the Celtics walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2020.

Patrick School's loss came despite strong showings from Kuai Deng and Brandon Lee. Deng posted 23 points, while Lee put up 26 points. With that strong performance, Deng is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Santonio Wade was another key player, putting up ten points.

Huntington Expression Prep's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Patrick School, their loss dropped their record down to 27-6.

Huntington Expression Prep has already played their next match, a 67-50 defeat against Chapmanville Regional on the 25th. As for Patrick School, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 88-75 loss against Blair Academy on the 23rd.
