Baseball Recap: Mercer Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Mercer strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They skirted past the Sharon Tigers 5-3.

Kameron Woods was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Jayden Amos was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Mercer lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since the start of last season.

Mercer's record now sits at 3-0. As for Sharon, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Mercer will host Laurel at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sharon, they are taking a road trip to challenge Titusville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The game will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
