Basketball Recap: Tara Marks Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Little Rock Homeschool

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 52-45 victory over the Little Rock HomeSchool Flames on Friday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Mavericks' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 429th in Missouri, while the Flames are ranked 193rd in Arkansas).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mid-Missouri HomeSchool to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tara Marks, who posted eight points in addition to six boards and four steals. Marks has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Dorr, who shot 75% from the field on her way to 16 points and six rebounds.

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool's victory bumped their record up to 13-24. As for Little Rock HomeSchool, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

As of now, neither Mid-Missouri HomeSchool nor Little Rock HomeSchool have any future games scheduled.
