Soccer Recap: Brookland-Cayce Comes Up Short

Brookland-Cayce lost against A.C. Flora back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. While the 3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was the Falcons who were credited with the win. The A.C. Flora Falcons got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Brookland-Cayce Bearcats' four. Brookland-Cayce have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

They hit A.C. Flora with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from David Baez Cortez, Andy Rivera, and Carlos Lobo Jacome.

Brookland-Cayce's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for A.C. Flora, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Brookland-Cayce has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Midland Valley on the 21st. As for A.C. Flora, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 4-0 defeat against Academic Magnet on the 22nd.
