Basketball Game Preview: Princeton Tigers vs. Erie-Prophetstown Panthers

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Princeton Tigers duke it out with the Erie-Prophetstown Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday... Princeton is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

Princeton is headed into the game having just suffered their closest defeat since December 20, 2023 on Monday. They fell just short of Hall by a score of 59-57.

Erie-Prophetstown played in conference for the first time on Monday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They walked away with a 27-19 win over Mendota. The score was all tied up 11-11 at the break, but the Panthers were the better team in the second half.

The victory made it two in a row for Erie-Prophetstown and bumps their season record up to 3-11. As for Princeton, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-6.

Princeton beat Erie-Prophetstown 45-38 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Does Princeton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Erie-Prophetstown turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
