Recap: Sherman Tide vs. Tolsia Rebels
If the Sherman Tide were feeling good off their 67-29 takedown of the Van Bulldogs last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Sherman was just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 46-45 to Tolsia. Sherman has not had much luck with Tolsia recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
It was another big night for Parker Watts, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds for Tolsia. The game was Watts' fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Robert Evans, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Sherman's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Tolsia, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Sherman will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Clay County at 7:30 p.m. on December 30th. Clay County is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Tolsia, they will play host again and welcome Mingo Central, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in West Virginia (Mingo Central is ranked 76th, while Tolsia is ranked 77th).
