Basketball Game Preview: Wabeno/Laona Rebels vs. Coleman Cougars

Wabeno/Laona and Coleman are an even 4-4 against one another since February of 2016, but not for long. The Wabeno/Laona Rebels will venture away from home to take on the Coleman Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Saturday, Wabeno/Laona lost to Menominee Indian at home by a 64-46 margin. The matchup marked the Rebels' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Coleman unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. Their2024 ended with a 66-47 defeat against Shiocton.

This is the second loss in a row for Wabeno/Laona and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Coleman, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Wabeno/Laona beat Coleman 67-55 when the teams last played back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wabeno/Laona since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
