Baseball Recap: Christ the Cornerstone Academy Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Christ the Cornerstone Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Antioch Christian Academy Gators on Thursday, sneaking past 4-2. The Defenders haven't had any issues with the Gators recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Christ the Cornerstone Academy's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jake Callahan, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Drew MCkaskill was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Christ the Cornerstone Academy's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Antioch Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
