True North Classical Academy waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 76-66 victory over the Elite Academy Eagles . Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Eagles are ranked 291st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

True North Classical Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Quincy Douby Jr led the charge by going 11 for 17 on his way to 26 points along with five boards and five steals. The dominant performance gave Douby Jr a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Boosie Swan, who went 6 of 14 en route to 15 points in addition to eight steals and six assists.

When it comes to explaining why Elite Academy lost, don't look at Ladainian Brooks. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 31 points and 11 rebounds. Brooks' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Seanojah Evans was another key player, going 5 for 10 on his way to 12 points and five boards.

True North Classical Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season.
