Softball Recap: Western Brown Beats Ross for Their Fifth Straight Victory

It's playoff time, and Western Brown had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Ross Rams on Wednesday. Considering the Broncos have won 17 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Western Brown, bringing their record up to 24-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Ross, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 20-6.

Coming up, Western Brown will challenge Greenville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Broncos 2, the Green Wave 0.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Ross does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
