Buffalo Gap is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 52-40 win over Brunswick. Given the Bison's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 70th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 215th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, George Wythe posted their closest victory since January 31st on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Honaker 34-31. The 34-point effort marked the Maroons' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Buffalo Gap pushed their record up to 23-4 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.9 points over those games. As for George Wythe, their victory bumped their record up to 26-3.
