            Softball Recap: Elmwood Park Tigers vs. Ridgewood Rebels        
        
		
        
        
            Elmwood Park had lost four straight at home, but  on Monday they dropped their record down to 3-7 to make it five. They came up short against  the Ridgewood Rebels, falling  15-0. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rebels apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in May of 2024.
 Elmwood Park saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Ava Bowser, who  went 1-for-2 with one  double.
As for Ridgewood,  with the  victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-5. That looming  15-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this  season.
On Ridgewood's side,  Megan Moe looked comfortable as she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits while striking out six over four innings pitched.
 At the plate,  Tessa Hanson was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, four  runs,  and three  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Alexandra Chaparro, who  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and one  stolen base.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Elmwood Park will  challenge  rival West Chicago  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Ridgewood is set to  take on  their familiar foe Glenbard South  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
