Baseball Recap: Desert Hills Thunder vs. Hurricane Tigers
Desert Hills won the last time they faced Hurricane and things went their way on Friday too. The Thunder put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 14-6 win. The Thunder might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.
Andrew Wiley tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Desert Hills got a massive performance out of Isaac Swanson, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. Those three runs gave Swanson a new career-high.
