Volleyball Recap: Patton Starts Season with Win on the Road

Patton had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against the Freedom Patriots on Monday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

While Patton might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Freedom scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-20, 25-21.

Hannah Huggins paced Patton's offense, picking up 11 kills. Huggins got some help from Emma Griffin and her 15 assists. Griffin also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Leah Clark, racking up four apiece.

Patton will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against South Caldwell at 5:30 p.m. As for Freedom, they will square off against Hibriten at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
