Basketball Recap: Ravenswood Takes a Loss

Ravenswood was the 59-34 winner over Roane County when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Ravenswood Red Devils took a 46-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Roane County Raiders on Tuesday. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Roane County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Anna Tolley led the charge by putting up 18 points. Tolley's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Amelia Pope was another key player, scoring ten points and five steals.

Ravenswood's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Roane County, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ravenswood will welcome Wirt County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Roane County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Webster County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
