Archbishop Moeller has gone a perfect 3-0 against Dixie Heights recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Fighting Crusaders will venture away from home to challenge the Colonels at 5:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Tuesday as neither Archbishop Moeller nor Fairmont made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Fighting Crusaders skirted past the Firebirds 6-5. The win was familiar territory for the Fighting Crusaders, who have now won three contests in a row.

Dixie Heights came out on top against Scott on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Colonels had just enough and edged out the Eagles 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Colonels have posted since April 27th.

Ian Meyers spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sean Mitchell, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI. Those three doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Stulz, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Archbishop Moeller's win bumped their record up to 17-3-1. As for Dixie Heights, they now have a winning record of 17-16.

Everything went Archbishop Moeller's way against Dixie Heights when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Archbishop Moeller made off with a 9-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Fighting Crusaders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
