Basketball Recap: Cannon County Comes Up Short

After flying high against Franklin County last Saturday, Cannon County came back down to earth. The Cannon County Lions fell to the Warren County Pioneers & Lady Pioneers 62-57. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pioneers & Lady Pioneers earlier this season, when they won 65-51.

Keyton Reno had an outrageously good game for Warren County as he dropped a double-double with 22 points and 16 boards. Those 16 rebounds gave Reno a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Turner, who posted 11 points and six boards.

Cannon County's defeat dropped their record down to 19-8. As for Warren County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Cannon County nor Warren County have any future games scheduled.
