Soccer Game Preview: Centennial vs. Buckeye Valley

The Centennial Stars are taking a road trip to square off against the Buckeye Valley Barons at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Centennial is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

On Monday, Centennial didn't have quite enough to beat Whitehall-Yearling and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, Buckeye Valley kept a clean sheet against Whitehall-Yearling last Saturday. They put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 10-0 win. Buckeye Valley haven't had any issues with Whitehall-Yearling recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Buckeye Valley's offense was hitting Whitehall-Yearling from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Jocelyn Jordan led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Buckeye Valley's win bumped their record up to 7-5-3. As for Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7-1.

Centennial might still be hurting after the 8-0 loss they got from Buckeye Valley in their previous meeting back in October of 2023. Can the Stars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
