Volleyball Game Preview: Council Lumberjacks vs. Horseshoe Bend Mustangs + How To Watch

Council hasn't had much luck against Horseshoe Bend recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Lumberjacks will venture away from home to face off against the Mustangs at 5:00 p.m.

Council had taken Salmon River down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Lumberjacks lost 3-0 to the Savages.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-16, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Horseshoe Bend made easy work of Greenleaf Friends Academy on Wednesday and carried off a 3-0 win. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Grizzlies recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Horseshoe Bend was: they took every set by at least 17 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-8, 25-5.

Council's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Horseshoe Bend, their win bumped their record up to 15-5.

Council suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Horseshoe Bend in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Lumberjacks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
