Basketball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Tri-City Christian's Ninth in Last Ten Outings

Point Loma came into Saturday's matchup looking for another win against Tri-City Christian, but David Turner wouldn't allow it. The Tri-City Christian Eagles strolled past the Point Loma Pointers with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 48-34 thanks in part to Turner, who went 6 for 7 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Garry Dillard III was another key player, putting up eight points. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.

Trevor Dorris and Na'Sean Hardy certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Dorris went 5 of 11 on his way to 14 points, while Hardy posted 12 points and eight boards.

Tri-City Christian is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points per game. As for Point Loma, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-5.

Tri-City Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-37 victory against Army-Navy on the 3rd. As for Point Loma, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 66-51 defeat against Canyon Hills on the 4th.
