Soccer Game Preview: Chaffey vs. Chino

The Chaffey Tigers will face off against the Chino Cowboys at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Chaffey is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Chaffey managed to keep up with Chino Hills until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. 2025 welcomed Chaffey with a 3-0 loss courtesy of Chino Hills. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 754th, while the Huskies are ranked 27th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Chino, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They had just enough and edged Diamond Ranch out 3-2 on Wednesday.

Chaffey's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9-2. As for Chino, their win bumped their record up to 2-6-5.

Chaffey suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Chino in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Chaffey avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
