Hughes finds home court redemption against Riverside

There's no place like home for the Hughes Lions, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with a 67-55 win over Riverside on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Despite the loss, Riverside had strong showings from Camden Eason, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds, and Jack Cupples, who scored ten points. The contest was Cupples' third in a row with at least ten points.

Hughes pushed their record up to 7-3 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Riverside, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hughes will challenge Mt. Pleasant at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (Mt. Pleasant is ranked 239th, while Hughes is ranked 260th). As for Riverside, they will head out on the road to face off against Chester County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Chester County will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
