While Calera's victory against Chilton County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Calera Eagles skirted past the Chilton County Tigers 7-6. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won eight in a row.

Stella Schilleci spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and five unearned) runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kinley Rodgers, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Alexi Johnson also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Calera's record now sits at 3-12. As for Chilton County, they moved to 18-4-1 with that defeat, which also ended their 12-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Calera will head out to challenge Leeds at 5:55 p.m. on March 28th. Chilton County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pelham at 4:30 p.m. on April 1st.
