Marcellus had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 55-33 margin over the Westhill Warriors. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Warriors are ranked 274th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Marcellus pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Westhill, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marcellus will host Bishop Ludden at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Westhill, they and Rome Free Academy will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played.
