Baseball Recap: Mounds Takes a Loss

Mounds was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 9-1 to the Quapaw Wildcats.

Zack Collins was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run. He is becoming a predictor of Mounds' success: when he posts at least one home run the team is 2-1 (and 8-15 when he doesn't).

Mounds' loss dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Quapaw, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-16 record this season.

As of now, neither Mounds nor Quapaw have any future games scheduled.
