Basketball Game Preview: Pleasant Valley Vikings vs. King's Academy Knights

Two dominant guards in Keith Thompson and Xavier Barnett are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Pleasant Valley Vikings will head out to take on the King's Academy Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pleasant Valley has given up an average of 49.9 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Pleasant Valley heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Wednesday. They fell 60-52 to Enterprise.

Meanwhile, King's Academy had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.8 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They skirted past the Padres 66-63. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted since December 1, 2023.

Pleasant Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 17-11. As for King's Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 23-4.
