Softball Recap: Washington Academy Starts Season with Win Against Central

Washington Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Central Red Devils a 1-0 shutout.

Central's batters probably weren't too happy with Bella Cirone, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 17 Ks (she gave up a single walk).

Central dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
