Baseball Recap: Aurora Christian Academy Has No Trouble Against Victory Road Christian Academy

Aurora Christian Academy lost to Victory Road Christian Academy back in March, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Arrows were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Minutemen. The result was nothing new for the Arrows, who have now won three contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Chris Eraas and Sawyer Jones did most of the damage at the plate: Eraas got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs, while Jones went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Eraas has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Sweeney, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Aurora Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Victory Road Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Aurora Christian Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Minutemen: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
