Basketball Recap: Baptist Hill Takes a Loss

Baptist Hill lost against Porter-Gaud back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Baptist Hill Bobcats took a blow against the Porter-Gaud Cyclones, falling 62-21. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Baptist Hill's loss came despite strong showings from Rayven Washington and JahNaree Heyward. Washington posted seven points, while Heyward earned two points and seven steals. The dominant performance gave Heyward a new career-high in steals.

Leading Porter-Gaud to victory were Zoe Molten and Perry Chambers. Molten had 17 points, while Chambers put up 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Julia Burdick Gaddy, who posted eight points.

Baptist Hill's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Porter-Gaud, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-5.

Baptist Hill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 53-20 win against Hardeeville on the 7th. As for Porter-Gaud, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-33 defeat against Ben Lippen on the 4th.
