Coal City is a perfect 3-0 against Dwight since February of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Coal City Coalers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dwight Trojans at 7:00 p.m.

Last Monday, Coal City came up short against Manteno and fell 53-40.

Wilmington typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Dwight proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 43-35. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.

Coal City's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.0 points over those games. As for Dwight, their win bumped their record up to 18-12.

Coal City beat Dwight 41-32 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Will Coal City repeat their success, or does Dwight have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
