Preview: Austin vs. Fabens
Austin is 4-0 against Fabens since January of 2023, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Austin Panthers will be playing at home against the Fabens Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Austin and 13 for Fabens.
Saturday just wasn't the day for Austin's offense. They fell just short of Mountain View by a score of 1-0.
Meanwhile, Fabens also failed to score in their most recent game. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 4-0 walloping at the hands of Riverside on Friday.
Austin has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10-1 record this season. As for Fabens, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-13.
Austin was able to grind out a solid win over Fabens in their previous matchup back in January, winning 5-3. Will Austin repeat their success, or does Fabens have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
