Football Recap: Axtell Beats Valley Mills for Their Fourth Straight Win

Axtell came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37 points), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Valley Mills Eagles as they made off with a 32-7 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Longhorns also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Axtell's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Valley Mills, they suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Axtell is set to square off against their familiar foe Rio Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Longhorns 6.8, the Eagles 12.4) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Valley Mills will take on rival Bosqueville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
