Arvada West entered their tilt with Castle View on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Sabercats by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 3-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

The win didn't come easy: Castle View scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-20, 14-25, 27-25.

Laila Gibbons paced Arvada West's offense, picking up 13 kills. Gibbons got some help from Alex Williams and her 37 assists. Scarlett Wilhelm controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Despite the defeat, Castle View had strong showings from Bradli Brown, who had 11 digs and three assists, and Kate Erickson, who had four digs and three aces. Brown has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played.

Arvada West's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Castle View, with the loss, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 10-9.

Arvada West will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Fountain-Fort Carson at 11:00 a.m. on the 8th. As for Castle View, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Centaurus on the 1st.
